Breamore C of E Primary School
A foundation for life
The Friends at Breamore School (FABS)

A warm welcome to the Friends at Breamore School, known as the FABS. We play an important and exciting role in life at Breamore School. We aim to strengthen the home/school relationship to help families get even more out of their time at Breamore School.

Various events are orgnised to enable everyone to have fun, get to know each other and help raise those necessary extra funds.
Who are The friends At Breamore?
If you have a connection with Breamore School as a parent, teacher, carer or Grandparent then
you are a friend.

There is no need to join, be elected or subscribe. We would like as many of you as possible to become involved with the already growing number of friends.

Involvement can take many forms: we need help with events, ideas for raising and spending
money, practical support, donations of items for events….the list is endless. The more help we
get, the more money we raise, the  more our children benefit.
How do I get involved?
There are so many ways to get involved: come along to meetings; Support our events and offer
to help us run them; email us or call us with ideas of events we can run or things we should
fund; bring in donations of goods, sponsor your child, make refreshments. If you have an hour
to spare, we can find a use for it!
You could always set up a direct debit in order to help us raise those much needed funds.
How much money is raised and what is it spent on?
We raised over £5,000 last year, ( Sept 2015 - July 2016),  the Welly walk, quiz nights, Christmas Fayre being our biggest fund raisers.

We bought ipads,  a sand pit and equipment for reception class, bark for the adventure playground, welly boxes, music resources, gardening equipment, Queen's tea party, Ice lollies and Year 6 leaver's treat - WOW!  Thanks to you all.  2016 also saw us being awarded nearly £10,000 from the National Lottery which enabled us to resurface Reception playground and we refurbished the old ICT suite turning it into a cookery suite and new library.

We are looking forward to holding many more lovely events this academic year.  Watch the newsletter and notice board for details of meeting or contact the office to get involved.
What Sort of Events are Run?

We aim to provide several social events each
term and look to you for support and

To give you an idea past events have been
Barn Dances; Race and Quiz nights,
Sponsored walks, Treasure Hunts, Christmas
and the biggest fundraiser of the year, the
Summer School Fete.
At the end of the school year, parents and
children traditionally get together to enjoy an
‘Al Fresco’ breakfast on the school field.
